Busted Wheelchairs and Leaky CrawlspacesWent back for another look just recently – I sneezed and accidentally fell through an open window into one of the buildings.. Wondering what lay beyond I stuck my head out into the hallway and had a look around – the coast looked clear so I leaned in further and waved my arm around. A small red LED , located on a fitting that I previously thought was a shade for a lightbulb (I swear it was at least 2x the size of any PIR I ’ve ever seen) , flicked on. Not waiting to be told to leave I quickly made my way out and onto the street. After about 5mins a Landrover showed up and drove slowly past the Colombo St facade of the hospital, they then pulled a U-turn and drove right up to the gates – security for sure! We figured we’d seen all there was to see this particular time and exited stage left. From what we witnessed it seems as though silent alarms have been deployed, I guess security was sick of turning up to find their quarry long-gone, just something to be aware of – keep an eye out for those nasty wee LEDs! Days later we again wound up at the hospital and somehow found ourselves in an underground plant-room, complete with its own miniature tunnel system and a 4-5 storey airshaft that runs all the way to the roof of the building that sits atop it. The room is powered, playing host to the switchboard/breaker box for the wards above. Its filled with plenty of steam pipes, cabling, and plumbing for nitrous oxide, oxygen and suction. In the centre of the room the main AirCon heat exchanger/filter/whatever sits, it gets its air via a large unobstructed shaft that runs from the basement level right up to the roof of the building (pics came out all shitty, damnit)- you can hear the traffic, etc from outside quite clearly when you are standing in the bottom of it. Sadly the shaft was a bit too wide for me to be able to ‘chimney’ up it and the designers neglected to include a ladder so the roof is still off-limits :( The tunnels are roughly in the shape of a ‘T’ and lead off from one side of the plant room, they appear to be purely designed to provide maintenance access to the crawlspaces under the building and as far as we can see are isolated from any other underground spaces that exist below the hospital – theres heaps of pipes & cables, a couple of smoko chairs and even some filthy poetry scribbled in them however ;) The plant-room also contains a couple of sumps in the floor, one of which periodically empties out to prevent the place from flooding – this produces a sound similar to the sound of an old toilet flushing which is easily heard from outside – some of you may have noticed this noise when you were visiting :) Having seen all there was to see of the plant-room, we left to go have a wee climb on the roof – just as I had finished clambering up I noticed a light flicking up and down the hallway below us! I signalled the others and everyone froze. Carefully and quietly we extracted ourselves from inside the hospital’s perimeter. As we were walking away we noticed a large, bald-headed prick in a black shirt peering out of a second floor window with his torch shining at us – looks like security does random walk-throughs now! |

Aha, everyone else seems to have a lot of close encounters. Sounds like you might have gone in one of the same windows I used a little while ago, I set off a slient alarm LED too, but we hung around for a while afterwards and didn’t notice any security.
their truck was unmarked but their behavior was a dead giveaway. we didn’t stick around to see if they actually went inside the compound though.
Yeah there is really no unifomity to the vehicles they use, landrovers, hiluxs, isuzu, never anything marked either.
do they actually enter and search? couldn’t you just have someone watching the gates, and just hide inside somewhere when they come looking. no way they’d find you? that way you could have a reasonably decent look, not worrying about alarms, so they will have a quick look, then fuck of thinking you’ve left, then make your escape?
the problem is if you’re rocking around an alarmed area you’ll be setting off the sensors constantly. i’d expect the people playing dispatch will see this and would pass this info on to people they’ve sent out to check on the place.
about the only thing security guards are legally allowed to do is follow you and call the police… the options they have once they spot someone on the property after getting a call-out about alarms triggering all over the hospital are:
a) run in there and confront the perpetrators remember security guards cannot even lay a finger on anyone, even if they are ‘trespassing’ and this confrontational approach is just the sort of thing that gets security guards shanked by hoodrats. also the guard is still going to need the police as he cant apprehend anyone!
b) call the cops the security guard is probably only making minimum wage, plus hes kinda full from eating those two whopper meals half an hour ago. the police are paid slightly more than him, plus they are the cunts who are caught holding the can – theres no one else to pass the buck onto so they HAVE to turn up and deal with it.
i think 90% of the time security would call the cops at any indication that there is still someone onsite – thats pretty much what their job is.
yeah with the alarms thing, that system in there ain’t that old, so when it is triggered it’s going to send a sector trigger or individual sensor trigger back to ‘whoever is actively monitoring it’ and then they will in turn notify the guards that are 10-2 to that premesis, so hiding and shit like that isn’t going to help cos they will know exactly where you are/were, best idea as Rob will agree, if you set the alarm off whether it be silent or loud as hell, just get the fuck out and wait till the cunts come and go.
security guards can use force to detain people in some circumstances. i’ve had it happen to friends, and ive seen it in job descriptions for toy cops. also the police have zero legal obligation to uphold the law – interesting that.
that might work and then again it might not. personally i think security are as keen as fuckery on catching any reprehensible miscreants such as you or me, thus silent alarms, on site security etc. they will know where the alarm went off and if it continues to activate.
i mean, sneaking till you trigger an alarm, when you do, leave one person to watch the gates, and everyone else run thru taking mass photos etc, till guards etc come. at this point, hide, wait for half an hour till they’ve left, and then when your sure their far way, bolt like shit. you’ll re-trigger the alarms but be outside and away before they come back. it just seems this would be the only way to get photos of alarmed areas. you wouldn’t have much time, but it’d be better than nothing.
hex(3 months ago)Will be going back in quick-smart; have some intel that could make everyone on SlackNinja’s lives a lot easier at the hospital.
Could you provide some more details on entry points to the underground plant-room as soon as humanly possible? If you’d prefer to keep them off the site, an email to anonymous_nz@windowslive.com would be appreciated.
We’ve been working on cracking this nut for a long time now!
Peace, Hex
ive added you on msn..
fuck yea man, decent work :P
