warlust's experience @ Antonios SeminarySeminaries can be fun tooWhen I was introduced to the seminary on Riccarton Rd half of the building was either being demolished or renovated, and I’m not sure of the state of it now. The building on the far right side of the grounds was being lived in, had cars parked outside and an old dog that wasen’t on a leech, but the biggest building on the left hand side was abandoned or not in use at that time. We jumped over the main fence on Riccarton road and ran across the lawn to the side of the building where there was a big pile of rubble and a few planks of wood which we used to get up through the main door which was about three meters up. The first few rooms on the street side where half demolished and a few walls were missing, also there were electrical cables hanging from the roof and you could see through into a few rooms on the second floor. But after the first two rooms we went through a swinging door into a big corridor which was in good condition and had about 10 rooms on each side. These rooms were used as bedrooms and were still in tact, the beds were still made and each room had a robe-man, a chest of draws and a mirror, also the atmosphere inside them was somewhat creepy at two in the morning. After the hallway of bedrooms we went through another swing door and rounded a corner to the right, there was one locked door which we didn’t open and also a gutted kitchen that just had a sink and a zip left. The door at the end of that small hallway led to the staircase which went up to the second floor, but the door at the top of the stairs was heavy and locked, and we didn’t want to alarm the grounds keeper by making any noise. There was also a door that led to a small staircase that went out to the back of the grounds where there was a gardening shed, a dumpster and a strip of grass, we also met the dog from the other building who turned out to be friendly and not a threat. We walked around the side of the building to see if there were any fire escapes that led to the second floor, some of the second floor windows were broken and there was obviously construction going on there but we didn’t manage to get in. |
