Having been denied the silo’s the last time I visited this place I was itching to return and give it another look-over. By the time we arrived at the site the light was quickly fading, we jumped the fence and took a few pictures outside before proceeding to the silos with the aim to get onto the roof. After sufficient ninja-effort, Tangy and I managed to gain entry.

We skipped the basement and ground levels this time, instead opting to head straight for the roof via the steep steel gangway-style staircase that is suspended inside the tallest tower of the silo building. There is an oldschool cage lift that would have saved the workers this hike back when this plant was operational but it is, of course, non-functional.

We took a few shots in the top-floor room, but only one really came out well enough to use – will have come back during the day sometime.

Had lots of fun with the camera on the roof as the view of the city lights and the surrounding valley looks pretty cool at night.

EDIT : Threw up a few more photos of this place that I have had sitting around for ages, they are from a different excursion to this one, but from roughly the same time of year. Theres a Seaplane and the remains of CRY -TV: a bunch of microwave transmitters, some satellite dishes and stacks of old VHS .
