It was a cold and stormy night. Ridgie and I had nowhere to sleep and by luck we happened upon the Madras Manor. From the barren shingle of the carparks it rose up like a semi after too many beers.

It welcomed us with KEEP OUT signs warning of possible injury and legal prosecution at this work site. No stranger to the law myself I chose to simply ignore these warnings as though they were but mere heads of my bretheren on pikes.

Sweating like a rapist I stumbled across the discarded Glassons clothes of a preteen cock tease. I made a mental note.

It was cold and we had no choice but to invoke the hypothermia law and get naked and warm each other as though in the soothing safety of the scrum.

I have a book called “Ghost towns of New Zealand” that lists 41 of them around the Timaru & Oamaru area right up into the hills – most of them old mining towns. I don’t know where you can pick up the book these days but it’s a pretty good reference.

Come daylight savings we’re looking at packing a roadie and putting a few on the map again.
