Just some pictures of my little adventure over to NorthHead with piggy. Coastal and military fortifications erected during the 1800s and used during the Russian Scare in 1885 [though these bunkers and forts are not as awesome as Fort Jervois =P] and WWII . Heaps of underground tunnels and storage rooms. Many are unlit so camera flash came in handy. Snapped a few pics of gun holding placements.

    yeah, the photos taken “through bars” were sealed off because of
unstable roof and they were hardout padlocked. Alot of corridors have heaps and
heaps of rooms but they are pitchblack and you need a torch light, which I
unfortunatley didnt have.

      would be interesting to get a hold of the plans for this place and see how
much of it is rendered inaccessible by the bars.

        Yeah, well, Auckland museum has a huge war/military archive section maybe I
could harass someone there. There are quite a few coastal/military fotifications
around this area but none as extensive as this. Next time you are up in Auckland
its worth the trip over =)

    Dam you taking all the credit orchid i took yo ass there haha, There is also
a war fortifications
on waiheke island and on the island attatched to the back of Rangitoto (name
escapes me) I helped
clean out those ones a year or two ago when i was working with D.O.C.

      pretty sure my mate was telling me about this one.. also i think some of the
cave clan dudes came over a few years back and visited it.

    Im the one with the camera, bitch. yeah keen as to cheak them out aye. I
fucking want to get into them hell factories AH, i wanna parkour it up to those
stairs to that door.

    motutapu is the other island i said about behind rangitoto, im sure it
wouldnt be mushc trouble if someone wanted to go there to ask D.O.C for a ride
out there. Thats what i did when i wanted to check out browns island and it was
no problem at all.

    Yeah thinking about it there is a few permenant residents on the island so
acess will be easy. I think some of the bunkers are locked but alot are open.
There was alot of animal bones and skulls in them.
